Refund Policy
A full trial before purchase, no promised change-of-mind refund, and no reduction of rights that apply by law.
Effective date: 19 July 2026
1. Try AmpStudio before purchasing
AmpStudio provides 14 days of full access. Please use the trial to confirm sound, workflow, performance and compatibility with your computer, plugin format, recording host, audio interface and normal setup before purchasing.
The truthful acknowledgement is that the trial was available and the customer had the opportunity to evaluate AmpStudio. State Audio does not require a customer to claim that every possible configuration was tested.
2. Change of mind
State Audio does not promise refunds or exchanges for change of mind. This includes deciding after purchase that AmpStudio is no longer wanted or preferring another product where AmpStudio operates as described.
This boundary does not override Paddle-administered rights, country-specific withdrawal rights or any mandatory consumer right.
3. Faults and product problems
If AmpStudio is faulty, materially not as described, unsafe, substantially unfit for a disclosed purpose or fails another mandatory consumer guarantee, State Audio and Paddle will apply the remedy required by applicable law.
Depending on the problem and applicable law, a remedy may include troubleshooting, repair, replacement, refund or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. State Audio may ask for reasonable information needed to understand and reproduce the problem, but will not require unrelated personal files.
4. Compatibility and individual systems
Poor performance caused solely by an unsupported operating system, host, hardware configuration, unofficial installer, unauthorised modification or incompatible third-party change is not automatically eligible for a voluntary refund when the supported-system information and full trial were available.
State Audio will not label every compatibility report as customer-specific. A genuine failure on a published supported system that meets the stated requirements will be investigated and does not lose mandatory remedies merely because software compatibility is involved.
5. How to request help or a refund
- For troubleshooting and product investigation, contact support@state.audio.
- For a Paddle-administered refund request, receipt, tax or payment matter, use Paddle buyer support.
- Provide the Paddle transaction or receipt reference, the account email used for the purchase and a concise description of the request. Never email card details or passwords.
Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy govern Paddle-administered refund decisions. State Audio may provide additional case-by-case goodwill without creating a general money-back guarantee.
6. Effect of a completed full refund
A completed full refund ends the paid AmpStudio entitlement. The licence is removed from active ownership and connected or reconnecting installations return to Demo mode without corrupting the customer's DAW project.
Because an activated purchased copy can work offline, a computer that never reconnects may not receive the updated entitlement immediately. The refunded customer must stop using and uninstall the refunded paid copy from every computer.
7. Mandatory rights
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Australian consumers receive automatic consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Customers in other countries may have additional mandatory rights, including withdrawal rights for some online purchases.
If this Policy, Paddle's policy and mandatory law provide different levels of protection, the rights that cannot legally be reduced continue to apply.
